Maria Elena Bello

Maria Elena Bello, born on April 18, 1967, in the United States is an actor and producer as well as writer and director. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly ((2000), The Cooler (3), A History of Violence (2004), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2009), Grown Ups (2010) and Prisoners (2013) were just a few of her film roles. In the television world, Bello appeared as Dr. Anna Del Amico on the medical drama ER (1997-1998) and also in additional starring roles, including Lucy Robbins on the series Touch in 2013, as Michelle McBride on the first season of the show Goliath in 2016, and from 2017 to 2021 as Special Agent Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane on the show NCIS. Bello was raised in Norristown to Kathy Bello and Joe Bello. Bello studied political science at Villanova University. Bello trained in acting in New York and continued to improve her skills after graduation. Bello is the mother of Jackson and Dan McDermott, her ex-boyfriend. She wrote in November 2013 about her similar-sex relationship with Clare Munn, and how it ended. She published a book titled Whatever...Love Is a Love: Examining the labels We Give Ourselves. (Dey Street Books. April 28 in 2015).
